One of my favorite restaurants ever. The scallops were out of this world. I don't think I will ever have better scallops, I want to come back to New Orleans just to go back to this restaurant. The service, ambiance, and food were way beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant, what a fabulous experience.

This restaurant was on my list for a long time as its 2 block away from my house still never got a chance to go there. Reservation was very smooth while i had some questions about my dietary restrictions which they took care of it. I am usually type of guy who enjoys some good expensive wine than the food and i was impressed with both wine selections which my sommelier suggested me. Me and my gf really enjoyed all the food with lots of colours and flavours. Had a wonderful chef’s special 7-10 course meal with my gf service and the explaination of the food was amazing but could have been more interactive service like waiter came once or twice and saw him at the end !! Lots of different flavours on food. Thank you soo much once again for doing vegetarian 10 dish 7 course menu. I would recommend them to try for michelin star or hopefully they can get it when michelin visited new orelans !

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and cared for. Every course was beautifully presented, thoughtfully timed, and absolutely delicious. What impressed us most was how effortlessly the team managed such a large group while still making the evening feel intimate and personalized. Dining at Restaurant August was truly a memorable experience and easily one of the highlights of our visit to New Orleans. From the moment we walked in, the service stood out. Our attendant, Lee, was fantastic , warm, attentive, and professional ….setting the tone for the entire evening. We were seated in the center of the main dining hall, which felt elegant and lively. There was also a second dining hall that was quieter and equally beautiful, featuring a walkable wine cellar, candle-lit tables, and an impressive collection of wines displayed throughout the space. The ambiance felt refined yet comfortable , exactly what you’d expect from a fine-dining experience. The food was exceptional from start to finish. The duck I ordered was incredibly tender and flavorful. The tripletail fish, served with carrots that were delicately decorated with edible flowers, felt like a Michelin-level presentation and tasted just as good. One of the highlights of the night was the veal dish … reminiscent of a veal Wellington with foie gras ..rich, perfectly cooked, and unforgettable. We were also treated to several thoughtful complimentary touches from the chef. A delicious cornbread with butter and salt started things off beautifully, followed by palate cleansers between courses. By the end of the meal, we were too full for dessert, but the kitchen surprised us with homemade candies and chocolate truffles. Since we were celebrating our son’s birthday, the restaurant added another special touch by giving him a small gift box with cookies …a gesture that made the evening even more meaningful for our family. To top it all off, I had a rum cocktail that was excellent and paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, Restaurant August delivered an outstanding dining experience , exceptional service, beautifully presented dishes, and thoughtful hospitality throughout the evening. We came here to celebrate our engagement and treated ourselves to the chef’s tasting menu. I have to say, the chef has built an incredible team to complement his culinary artistry. Each dish was beautifully explained, and as Canadians, we truly felt that Southern hospitality. Every course was so unique and I can still remember each flavour! Will definitely be returning and recommending to others!

One of our favorite places in NOLA. Consistently excellent service. Amazing staff, including everyone that interacts with customers. They look for ways to impress and delight you! The food is always a feast for your senses appealing to your eyes, nose and mouth! The opening act is an eggshell filled with a citrus mouse on top of a sweet potato on bottom. The triple tail was amazing. Tender, juicy, flavorful. Overall one of the most impressive restaurants in NOLA!

August Restaurant in New Orleans offers a dining experience that feels both refined and genuinely welcoming. The space is elegant without being pretentious, creating the perfect backdrop for an exceptional meal. The lamb ravioli was the highlight of the night—delicate pasta filled with tender lamb, finished with a broth poured tableside that had the aromatic depth of a beautifully crafted pho. It was rich, fragrant, and memorable. The wagyu strip steak that followed was cooked with absolute precision, showcasing phenomenal quality and a perfect sear that made every bite feel luxurious. For dessert, I had the strawberry shortcake paired with a latte. Light, fresh, and just sweet enough, it was a lovely way to end the meal. A personal touch that made the evening even more special: the chef came out to greet me. It was wonderful putting a face to the food, and it added a warm, human note to an already outstanding experience. Phenomenal! We got the four course tasting menu and everything was just so wonderful. Well worth the money. Next time we are in town we will go back. I could not recommend this restaurant more for an absolutely wonderful fine dining experience.

I’ve been wanting to come here for years. The last 5 trips haven’t been the right group/reason to come here. Worth the wait is an understatement! The tasting menu was our plan coming in, but after looking at prices and what was featured, we decided on à la carte. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Beer Tartar, insane. Best I’ve had. Gnocchi with Crab and Truffle… so well balanced! See out pictures. Staff was amazing and environment is upscale, but not stuffy. Coming back in 48 hours to try the venison.
